I use a Windows 10 operating system with Avast Antivirus. I have begun to notice that Avast may possibly be slowing Windows down. When I go into Windows Defender it says no actions are needed because Avast is protecting my computer. Do I need Avast if Windows Defender is an option? Edit: I guess is should keep it then. It turned off Windows Defender, which promptly notified me that Malwarebytes was now the antivirus software on my machine. In the past, many sources have said to run both.
